Academic Association is a parent-based organization who recognizes academic excellence among high school students. The Association hosts the annual Honors Banquet and Awards Program as well as funds the Academic Letter Jacket awards program.
National Beta Club was founded in 1934 by Dr. John Harris, and is currently headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The club has more than 7,743 clubs in 44 states. There are more than 414,000 active Betas in the Senior and Junior divisions. Its motto is "Let Us Lead by Serving Others." It is an honors program with an emphasis on community service.
Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
4-H is a youth organization administered by the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) with the mission of "engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development." The four "H"s stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.
The St. Mary’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is committed to providing a multitude of programs that help make St. Mary’s a stimulating and fun learning environment, a rewarding place to work, and an inviting place for parents. Quiz Bowl includes a group of students dedicated to the pursuit and enjoyment of knowledge in all of its manifestations. Quiz Bowl is a game that tests depth and breadth of knowledge in a variety of subjects, academic and otherwise.
